Alarm Technician — Kazar Security

Location: Tulsa, OK

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

You'll be in the field every day installing and servicing the systems that protect Tulsa homes and businesses — alarm panels, cameras, access control, and smart home automation. You'll work independently, solve real problems, and be the face of Kazar Security to every customer you meet.

We're locally owned, we promote from within, and we'd rather train the right person than settle for the wrong one.

What You'll Do

  • Install, program, test, and troubleshoot alarm systems — Qolsys IQ4, DSC PowerSeries NEO, 2GIG, Honeywell/Resideo.

  • Install and configure video surveillance — Alarm.com, Turing Vision, Axis, Hikvision.

  • Set up and maintain access control — Alarm.com ACS, PDK.io, Mercury, CDVI, with HID Signo/multiCLASS readers.

  • Handle panel takeovers, system upgrades, and routine service.

  • Run and terminate low-voltage cable (Cat5/6, coax).

  • Train customers on their systems and apps so they actually use them.

  • Keep job sites clean and safe, and paperwork accurate.

  • Take part in the on-call rotation for after-hours service.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3+ years in alarm or security install/service preferred — we'll train the right candidate.

  • Comfortable with alarm panels, CCTV, and access control.

  • Basic networking (IP addressing, Wi-Fi, router configuration).

  • Able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • Strong troubleshooting instincts and clear communication.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Able to become state licensed if you aren't already.

The Physical Side

Lifting 50+ lbs, ladders and lifts, attics and crawl spaces, and outdoor work in Oklahoma weather.
